Unbecoming is a collection of poetry and visual art about a young girl’s constant search for herself as she tries to navigate what it means to grow into a woman. This coming-of-age book touches on the interrelated topics of beauty, body, sexuality, love, relationships, work, milieu, and how these ultimately influence a person’s identity.
 
About the Author:
 
Pam Concepcion is an interdisciplinary artist from Metro Manila, Philippines, delving into poetry, screenwriting, graphic design, digital collages, and more. Her writing is heavily influenced by music, books, art, her experiences growing up as an athlete, her time in a Catholic all-girls school, and later, her bachelor’s degree. 
 
She studied Industrial Engineering and minored in Communications and New Media at De La Salle University-Manila. Her poetry has been published in her alma mater’s Malate Literary Folio. In 2023, she joined Community Literature Initiative, where she began putting this book together. Unbecoming is her first published book.
